Amélie Giacomini & Laura Sellies
136 rue Ordener, 75018 Paris
Amélie Giacomini and Laura Sellies have been working together since 2010. They have developed a work and a research practice in which installation, film, performance, literature and music share a space. This space can only be defined by the spectator’s attention. Over the course of one evening, one day, or the length of an exhibition, Amélie Giacomini and Laura Sellies intervene in a variety of places; past sites of intervention include the Palais de Tokyo, Centre Pompidou, Salon de Montrouge, BF15 in Lyon, Triangle in Marseille, or the Contemporary Art Institute of Villeurbanne. Their work was awarded by the Prix des Présidents, presented by the Society of Friends of Lyon National Art School in 2016. The also shared a residency at the French Academy in Rome, located in the Villa Medici.
